OFF DUTY CARE. Thirty (30) minutes each day will be provided to the K9 handler for the care and maintenance of the canine. Management will determine annually, during the budget preparation period, how the handler will receive the 30 minutes for the following year. For example, the handler may be sent home 30 minutes early during the regularly scheduled shift. On days where the K9 handler is not scheduled, 30 minutes of overtime will be paid to the K9 handler.
OFF DUTY CARE. Thirty (30) minutes of pay will be provided to the K-9 handler for the care and maintenance of the K-9 for each day the canine is not kenneled at the County’s expense or in the care of a third party. Management will determine annually, during the budget preparation period, how the handler will receive the 30 minutes for the following year. For example, the handler may be sent home early 30 minutes or more during the regularly scheduled shift(s). There will be no overtime incurred for the care and maintenance of the K-9 unless pre-authorized by the Sheriff.

  • Vision Care For the duration of this Agreement, the University will continue to provide a vision care plan for members of the bargaining unit and their dependents with benefit levels not less than those in effect as in the predecessor Agreement.
