Common use of No Relationship Created Clause in Contracts

No Relationship Created. Contractor asserts and agrees that Contractor is an independent contractor and not an officer, agent, servant or employee of the City. Contractor has exclusive control over the details of the activity, and is responsible for the acts and omissions of its officers, agents, employees, contractors, subcontractors and consultants. The doctrine of respondeat superior does not apply as between City and Contractor, its officers, agents, employees, contractors, subcontractors and consultants. Further, this Agreement does not create a partnership or joint enterprise between City and Contractor.
