Common use of NEW RATES Clause in Contracts

NEW RATES. 23.01 The Employer agrees to give the Union forty-five (45) days’ notice in writing of its intent to place in operation new printing equipment of a type not used by the Employer at the date of signing of this Agreement, and to establish new classifications, if required for the positions required to operate or maintain the equipment in question, provided such maintenance work falls within the Union’s jurisdiction. During such a forty-five (45) day period, the Employer will meet with the Union to negotiate wage rates for the new classification.
