Common use of New Employee Placement and Progression Clause in Contracts

New Employee Placement and Progression. New employees normally shall be placed on the first step of the salary schedule. Upon approval of the Superintendent, new employees may be placed at the second or third step. If a new employee is placed on the first step, upon acquiring permanent status an employee may be granted advance placement to step 3 for outstanding service upon the recommendation of the supervisor and approval of the Superintendent.
