Common use of Mutual Benefit Leave Clause in Contracts

Mutual Benefit Leave. The Employer may, at its discretion, grant a leave which the parties jointly agree is for the mutual benefit of the Employer and the employee involved. When such mutual benefit leave is granted, seniority shall continue during the term of the leave and the employee shall return to work at the wage scale which he/she would have been receiving had no leave been taken. The Employer, however, shall not make any contributions on behalf of the employee while the employee is on such leave.
