Minimum Required Quantity (MRQ Clause Samples

The Minimum Required Quantity (MRQ) clause establishes the lowest amount of goods or services that a buyer is obligated to purchase from a seller under a contract. Typically, this clause specifies a set number of units or a monetary value that must be met within a defined period, such as annually or over the contract term. For example, a distributor may be required to order at least 1,000 units per year to maintain exclusivity. The core function of the MRQ clause is to provide the seller with a guaranteed baseline of sales, reducing uncertainty and helping with production planning and resource allocation.
