Common use of Minimum Reporting Allowance Clause in Contracts

Minimum Reporting Allowance. 29.01 If an employee reports to work at the regularly scheduled time for their shift and no work is available, such employee will be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) the scheduled hours pay at the employee's regular rate. The employee can only be excused with supervisory approval. Section 29.01 shall be waived and not binding upon the employer in case of any labour dispute or emergency such as fire and power shortage which disrupts the operation of the employer nor shall it apply to an employee returning to work without notice after absence.
