Common use of Minimum Assignment Clause in Contracts

Minimum Assignment. Deputies who are chosen for this assignment must agree to stay in the position for a minimum of one year, unless promoted or special circumstances arise. The Sheriff may remove an assigned deputy for performance or disciplinary reasons. Deputies who have been with the City for less than 12 months will not be granted another assignment outside the City except with the concurrence of the City Council.
