Common use of Metering Services Clause in Contracts

Metering Services. Subject to Paragraph 7.2 the Supplier shall: provide to each Contracted Customer the Metering Services; and appoint a Meter Asset Manager to carry out the Meter Asset Services and, if necessary, Meter Reading Agency to provide the Meter Reading Services. The Parties acknowledge and agree that, in accordance with the terms of the Customer Contract, a Contracted Customer may appoint a Meter Asset Manager and Meter Reading Agency to provide the Metering Services. Where a Contracted Customer appoints a Meter Asset Manager and/or a Meter Reading Agency to provide the Metering Services the Supplier shall (subject to the provisions of the Customer Contract) accept the Meter provided by such Meter Asset Manager and/or the readings provided by such Meter Reading Agency. The Supplier shall at all times comply with all Laws and Industry Documents in the provision of the Metering Services. If it provides the Metering Services, the Supplier shall continuously monitor the performance of its nominated Meter Asset Manager and Meter Reading Agency (if appointed) and shall ensure that where relevant the Meter Asset Manager and Meter Reading Agency comply with the KPIs. If requested by the Authority the Supplier shall inform the Authority of the number of Meters at Supply Points read by the Meter Reading Agency and/or Meter Asset Manager in a particular Month or Months. The Supplier shall accept Meter Readings from AMR Meters (whether provided by Customer or a third party provider). Where a Customer so requires the Supplier shall invoice the Customer in respect of the third party’s AMR costs and then account to the third party AMR for such costs.

The Subject to any disputes under the Customer Contract as to the accuracy of the Metering Equipment, the Supplier shall accept a NDM Meter Readings reading from AMR Meters a Customer (whether including a NDM Meter reading provided by Customer or a third party provideron behalf of a Customer) and use those readings to calculate invoices pursuant to the Customer Contract for the relevant Supply Month. If the Customer’s Meter reading is received by the Supplier by the 2nd Working Day following the end of the Supply Month (or, in the case of Quarterly Billed Supply Points, Supply Quarter). Where a Customer so requires , then the Supplier shall use the Customer’s Meter reading to calculate the invoice for that Supply Month (or, if applicable, Supply Quarter). If the Customer Customer’s Meter reading is received after that time, then the Supplier shall use the Customer’s Meter reading when calculating the invoice for the Supply Month (or, if applicable, Supply Quarter) following the Supply Month (or, if applicable, Supply Quarter) in respect of the third party’s AMR costs and then account to the third party AMR for which such costsreading is received.
