Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices Sample Clauses

The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) clause establishes the requirement that all traffic control devices, such as signs, signals, and pavement markings, must conform to the standards set forth in the MUTCD. In practice, this means that any installation, maintenance, or modification of traffic control devices on public roads must follow the design, placement, and operational guidelines specified in the manual. This ensures consistency and uniformity across jurisdictions, which enhances road safety and minimizes confusion for drivers by providing predictable and recognizable traffic control measures.
