MANAGEMENT AND ACADEMIC RIGHTS. Section 1: Except as otherwise provided in an express provision of this Agreement, the University retains the exclusive rights that it possessed before the selection of the Union as the exclusive bargaining representative, to direct, control, manage and schedule its operations, and to make any and all decisions affecting the University in a manner consistent with its self-determined educational and research mission (“Management and Academic Rights”).
