- MAINTENANCE OF RECORDS / COOPERATION WITH STATE AUDITS. The PROFESSIONAL shall keep and maintain its accounting records and supporting documentation related to the services, work, information, expenses, costs, invoices, and materials provided and/or performed pursuant to the requirements of this Agreement for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of termination or expiration of this Agreement. The COUNTY, its authorized agents and representatives of federal and state agencies funding the Agreement (“AGENCIES”) shall, with reasonable prior notice, have the right to audit, inspect and copy all such accounting records and supporting documentation as often as they deem reasonably necessary during the effective period of the Agreement and during the five (5) year period after the date of final payment or termination hereof. Any auditing, inspections or copying of the PROFESSIONAL'S accounting records and supporting documentation performed by the COUNTY or AGENCIES shall be conducted during normal business hours upon reasonable prior notice to the PROFESSIONAL and shall be at the sole expense of the COUNTY or the AGENCIES. The PROFESSIONAL specifically acknowledges that if state funding is utilized for the project, the PROFESSIONAL will agree to cooperate with any audit initiated by the Office of the Auditor General of the State of Florida or any successor office.
