Maintenance of Effort Requirement. If the grantee or subgrantee is a unit of general purpose local government, ESG-CV funds cannot be used to replace funds the local government provided for street outreach and emergency shelter services during the immediately preceding 12-month period, unless HUD determines that the unit of general purpose local government is in a severe financial deficit.

  • Maintenance of Equipment The Equipment shall be maintained in good operating condition and repair (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and all necessary replacements of and repairs thereto shall be made so that the value and operating efficiency of the Equipment shall be maintained and preserved. No Borrower shall use or operate the Equipment in violation of any law, statute, ordinance, code, rule or regulation. Each Borrower shall have the right to sell Equipment to the extent set forth in Section 4.3 hereof.

  • MAINTENANCE OF CONDITIONS Conditions of employment in effect at the execution of this Agreement shall, except as improved herein, be maintained during the term of this Agreement.
