Common use of Mailbox Clause in Contracts

Mailbox. Each resident will be assigned a residence hall mailbox. All mail received through University Housing will be placed in the Resident's assigned mailbox. Residents are required to check their mailboxes daily during the academic term as this will be one of the ways University Housing communicates with Residents. Mail service and forwarding may be interrupted or suspended during Interim Breaks. Residence hall mail service is an extension of the U.S. Postal Service and, therefore, follows federal guidelines including prohibition of mail fraud. Violations of U.S. postal regulations will be turned over to the U.S. Postal Service, and the Resident will also be subject to university disciplinary procedures.
