Lunch/Meal Period. (Applies to SB1, SC1, and SD1 only) An uninterrupted lunch period of no longer than one (1) hour nor less than one-half hour shall be scheduled for full-time unit members at or about the midpoint of each work shift, except for a unit member whose work schedule provides a paid lunch period. Where a paid lunch period is provided to a unit member, payment shall be based on the regular unit member’s hourly rate of pay. As provided by and in accordance with departmental rules, unit members may leave their work stations during an unpaid lunch period, provided they are back at their work stations immediately following the end of their lunch period.
