Common use of Long Tours Clause in Contracts

Long Tours. (a) If an employee works more than eight (8) hours in any single tour, excluding meal periods, he or she shall be paid for all the hours worked in excess of eight (8) at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular rate of pay. Compensation for this excess time shall be in addition to any base pay to which such employee may be entitled regardless of the length of the tour in question. For example, an employee, who in any regular work week works three (3) eight (8) hour tours and one (1) twenty-four
