Common use of Long Term Limited Duty Clause in Contracts

Long Term Limited Duty. Employees will be placed on long term limited duty when an employee has been on temporary limited duty status for one year. The Employer shall use reasonable efforts to provide a long term limited duty assignment within fifty (50) miles of the employee’s current residence. If after using reasonable efforts the Employer is unable to provide a long term limited duty assignment within the fifty (50) mile distance, the Employer will attempt to locate a long term limited duty assignment beyond the fifty (50) mile distance. If the employee accepts, the employee shall comply with the residence requirement. If it is necessary for the employee to relocate, the Employer shall reimburse the employee’s moving costs in accordance with the Office of Financial Management guidelines. When an employee is placed on long term limited duty the HRD shall determine the use of the Employer’s vehicles during duty hours and wearing of the uniform. Employees shall commute to and from their assignment on their own time, using their personal vehicle.
