Common use of Long Term Limited Duty Clause in Contracts

Long Term Limited Duty. The Employer shall use reasonable efforts to provide a long term limited duty assignment within fifty (50) miles of the employee’s current residence. If after using reasonable efforts the Employer is unable to provide a long term limited duty assignment within the fifty (50) mile distance, then the employee may elect to move residence and the Employer shall reimburse the employee’s moving costs in accordance with Office of Financial Management guidelines.

If after using reasonable efforts the Employer is unable to provide a long term limited duty assignment within the fifty (50) mile distancedistance and the Employer decides to offer an assignment outside that limit that the employee accepts, then the employee may elect shall comply with the residence requirement. If it is necessary for the employee to move residence and relocate, the Employer shall reimburse the employee’s moving costs in accordance with the Office of Financial Management guidelines.
