Common use of Local Union Leave Clause in Contracts

Local Union Leave. i) The Employer agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay, to employees selected by the Union to attend Union business, including conferences and conventions. ii) The Union gives twenty-one (21) calendar days, if possible, notice of such leave to the Employer. iii) Replies to request for union leaves of absence shall be given within two (2) calendar weeks of receipt of the request. iv) Provided that such union leave may be arranged without undue hardship to the normal operations of the Home.
