Local Strategic Partnerships. One of the expected benefits from a Local Area Agreement is to ensure that gaps between performance in local areas are narrowed, whilst at the same time, county-wide performance improves. Consequently, LSPs will have a critical role in terms of influencing and challenging Thematic Partnerships. They xxxx xxxxxxxx locality-based priorities in the refresh of the LAA, monitor to ensure delivery is effective at locality level, through either direct actions or by supporting actions at a local level to add value to delivery. To achieve this, LSPs will need to ensure they have effective links and communications with the Thematic Partnerships. Local Strategic Partnerships should work through the Cumbria Strategic Partnership to ensure inclusion and alignment, as far as possible, of local priorities and actions with their plans and strategies, particularly the Cumbria Sustainable Community Strategy while also ensuring that this strategy reflects the diversity of its own District. LSPs should also contribute to the successful negotiation and delivery of a Cumbria Local Area Agreement and the Cumbria Sustainable Community Strategy.

  • Staff Development Leave (a) An employee shall be granted leave without loss of pay, at her basic rate of pay, to take courses (including related examinations), conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, symposiums or similar out-of-service programs, at the request of the Employer. The amount of pay received by an employee shall not exceed the full-time daily hours of work as outlined in Article 14.2. When such leave is granted, the Employer shall bear the full cost, including tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-related books. The Employer shall also reimburse the employee for approved travelling, subsistence, and other legitimate, applicable expenses.
