Common use of Limits on Arbitration Clause in Contracts

Limits on Arbitration. The arbitrator will not have jurisdiction to amend or add to any of the provisions of this Collective Agreement nor substitute any new provisions in lieu thereof, nor to give any decision inconsistent with the terms of this Collective Agreement, provided, however, that the arbitrator will not be barred on the basis of a minor technical irregularity from hearing a grievance and rendering an award.
