Common use of Legislative Actions Clause in Contracts

Legislative Actions. If after the Effective Date of a Task Order any governmental entity takes a legislative action that imposes taxes, fees, or charges on MSS services or compensation under the Task Order, then MSS may invoice such new taxes, fees, or charges as a Reimbursable Expense to which a factor of 1.0 shall be applied. Owner shall pay such invoiced new taxes, fees, and charges; such payment shall be in addition to the compensation to which MSS is entitled under the terms of Exhibit C and the specific Task Order. Provided, however, that this provision shall not apply after such date (if any) as MSS increases its general schedules of rates in order to recoup said sales or use taxes by means of its rates.
