Common use of Leave Usage Clause in Contracts

Leave Usage. No deduction in pay will be made up to the total number of days of accrued leave. Deductions from accrued sick leave for illness or injury shall be charged against compensable days until such account is exhausted; thereafter, charges shall be to non-compensable days until such account is exhausted. All days utilized under emergency leave and bereavement leave, shall first be charged to non-compensable days until such account is exhausted. Leave beyond the total number of days of accrued leave shall be deducted from salary at the per diem rate of the annual/quarterly contract for each day of absence. Academic employees may be eligible for the shared leave program.
