LEAVE OF ABSENCE Bereavement Leave. 6.01 Should a death occur in a part time employee’s immediate family, (a part time employee who has completed his probationary period) shall receive time off from work with pay for an absence from scheduled work on the day before and the day of the funeral provided the employee attends the funeral with such pay equal to the hours scheduled for such an employee on the days in question.

In the event that the internment is postponed, employees may defer one (1) day of their bereavement entitlement to the date of the actual burial.
