LEAVE OF ABSENCE Bereavement Leave. 19.01 In the event of a death in an employee’s immediate family or in the event of a death of a close relative, leave at full pay will be granted for a period of up to 5 working days. This includes time for travel, attending the funeral and involvement in funeral arrangements and affairs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the case of the death of an employee's parent, spouse, partner, child, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent or grandchild, the employee shall be granted leave of absence with pay of 5 working days.
