Leave for Delegates. Any delegates (not exceeding six (6) in number) who may, from time to time, be duly authorized and designated by the members of the Association to attend the annual convention of the Ontario Professional Fire Fighters' Association, or the biennial convention of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) shall be granted such time off duty as may be actually required for the attendance at such conventions and as the regular operations of the service of the Department will permit, subject to operational requirements.
Leave for Delegates. Every effort shall be made to grant annual leave (leave without pay if the employee elects or if annual leave is exhausted) to duly elected delegates to attend National or State Union Conventions, Labor Schools, and Seminars. The number of employees who shall receive leave during the choice period is to be determined by applying the following formula to each leave section as defined: Fourteen percent (14%) of craft workforce = number to be let off at one time. This shall not prohibit Management from granting leave in excess of the 14% based on operational requirements. C. The formula shall be applied to the number of employees actually assigned in the leave section as of the first day of December for the passing of the leave board. Employees in the leave section, on this date, shall bid their choice leave within this section. D. The use of 204-B’s shall not affect the percentage of employees allowed annual leave at any time. E. In applying the percentage in (B) above, fractions of less than 0.5% shall be dropped and 0.5% or more shall be raised to the next whole number.   • Delegates 21.1 You acknowledge and agree that we may, in the conduct of our functions, instead of acting ourselves, delegate to or appoint any service provider, agent, sub-agent, contractor, sub- contractor, Broker, dealer, custodian, nominee or other third parties, whether in Singapore or otherwise, (and such persons shall each be referred to in this Agreement as our “Delegate”, where the context permits) to carry out, execute or clear any Transaction, hold, custodise or deal with the assets, or provide ongoing maintenance and support services for the operation of the Platform or such other Services or business as may be required by us. 21.2 You acknowledge and agree that we may delegate to such Delegates all or any of the power, authority or discretion vested in us and any such delegation may be made upon such terms and conditions and subject to such regulations (including the power to sub-delegate) and we may provide information about you and the Account to any such Delegate as we may think fit, provided always that we shall have exercised reasonable care in the selection of such Delegate, we shall not be bound to supervise the actions of and shall not in any way or to any extent be responsible for any loss incurred by you for any failure, neglect, default or breach by any such Delegate. 21.3 You agree that our employees, officers, or Delegates shall not have any authority to bind us to any obligations or liabilities as otherwise expressly provided in this Agreement.

  • Union Delegates The Employer recognizes the right of the Union to designate Union Delegates who shall be authorized to take up employee or group grievances through the grievance procedure. A Union Delegate who is a bargaining unit employee and is processing a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure shall be permitted a reasonable time to assist in the resolution of legitimate employee grievances on the Employer's property without loss of pay. Such time off for processing grievances shall be granted by supervision following a request, but in consideration of any job responsibilities.

  • Non-Ministerial Matters; Exceptions to Administrator Duties (i) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, with respect to matters that in the reasonable judgment of the Administrator are non-ministerial, the Administrator shall not take any action unless, within a reasonable time before the taking of such action, the Administrator shall have notified the Issuer of the proposed action and the Issuer shall not have withheld consent or provided an alternative direction. For the purpose of the preceding sentence, “non-ministerial matters” shall include, without limitation: (A) the initiation of any claim or lawsuit by the Issuer and the compromise of any action, claim or lawsuit brought by or against the Issuer; (B) the appointment of successor Note Registrars, successor Paying Agents, successor Indenture Trustees, successor Administrators or successor Servicers, or the consent to the assignment by the Note Registrar, the Paying Agent or the Indenture Trustee of its obligations under the Indenture; and (C) the removal of the Indenture Trustee. (ii) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, the Administrator shall not be obligated to, and shall not, (x) make any payments to the Noteholders under the Transaction Documents, (y) except as provided in the Transaction Documents, sell the Trust Estate or (z) take any other action that the Issuer directs the Administrator not to take on its behalf.

  • Leave for Negotiations Members of the MSEA-SEIU bargaining team (whose numbers shall not exceed three (3) for each unit plus the President and/or Vice President of MSEA-SEIU) shall suffer no loss in pay or benefits for participation in negotiations for a successor Agreement. Additionally, leave may be requested for other members necessary for participation on specific negotiations issues and such leave shall not be unreasonably denied. MSEA-SEIU shall give reasonable notice to the Office of Employee Relations of the names of those bargaining team members who will be attending particular bargaining sessions. MSEA-SEIU recognizes that exceptional circumstances might preclude the release of an individual on a particular day. The Office of Employee Relations will notify affected agencies of those individuals designated or otherwise requested to be made available on particular dates for participation in negotiations and will inform those agencies of the day, or days, when negotiations will take place. No additional compensation shall be paid if negotiations extend beyond the end of an employee's normal work hours. However, a good faith effort shall be made to schedule non-standard workweek employees so that their days off shall not fall on days of negotiations. Any designated employee who has a State vehicle assigned shall be allowed to use the vehicle while traveling to and from negotiations. Such employee shall be considered to be in duty status and shall have their uniform available for necessary use.

  • Personal Leave Without Pay Leave of absence without pay may be granted by the College for legitimate personal reasons.
