Common use of Layoff, Recall or Severance Clause in Contracts

Layoff, Recall or Severance. ‌ Any difference arising between the parties concerning the application, operation or any alleged violations of Article 11.5, (Reduction Sequence), Article 11.7 (Notice of Layoff), Article 11.8 (Transfer Process following Notice of Layoff), Article 11.9 (Recall), and Article 11.10, (Severance Pay), shall be settled in accordance with the grievance procedure set forth above, commencing at Stage II. If the grievance is not resolved at Stage II, it may be referred by either party to an arbitrator mutually agreed to by the parties for final and binding determination.
