However the contract does not (and cannot) decrypt the provided shares and check their validity. This verifi- cation is performed by the client software, which is actively monitoring the p2p network for newly mined blocks and is listening for KeySharing events. When such an event is fired, the client first decrypts their respective share and then verifies the decrypted share against the commitment to ensure its correctness.
