K-9 Handler Sample Clauses

K-9 Handler. Effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2025, any employee who is certified to assume the duty of K-9 Handler Team, and is assigned a K-9 and designated as a K-9 Handler will receive a Special Duty Incentive Payment equal to two and one half percent (2.5%) of that individual’s regular base pay, exclusive of overtime and/or any other special duty assignments the individual may be assigned. This Special Duty pay will be issued during each pay period the individual is assigned as the County’s K-9 Handler and is actually charged with the care of a K-9. The K-9 Handler Special Duty may be held in addition to one other Special Duty. The K-9 Handler is not eligible to receive a Special Assignment Payment, as set forth in Article 9(E), for his or her performance of this Special Duty.‌
