Jointing. Jointing equipment shall be provided on the Cable Ship, together with trained and qualified personnel, to enable it to perform jointing on all cable types used in the Owner's System. Such jointing equipment shall employ Universal Jointing (UJ) technology and subject to the agreement of the Owner regarding the Covered System, Millennia Jointing (MJ) technology. Sufficient sets (in no case no fewer than two sets) of jointing equipment shall be provided on board the Cable Ship to ensure 100% availability at sea.
