Common use of Jointing Clause in Contracts

Jointing. After setting out the pipes the collar shall be centered over the joint and filled in with tarred ▇▇▇▇▇▇, so that sufficient space is left on either side of the collar to receive the mortar. The space shall then be filled with cement mortar (1 cement: 2 fine sand) and caulked by means of proper tools. All joints shall be finished at an angle of 45 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the pipe on both sides of the collars neatly.
