Joint shop xxxxxxx. In enterprises where three or more shop stewards are elected, the shop stewards may elect a joint shop xxxxxxx amongst themselves. The responsibility of the joint shop xxxxxxx is to coordinate union-related matters raised by the shop stewards and to assist them in union-related activities, for example matters relating to local agreements, welfare issues, major layoffs and payroll systems. Management may also ask the joint shop xxxxxxx to coordinate matters of the same nature presented by management. Once a joint shop xxxxxxx has been elected, management must be notified of the election in writing.
