Common use of Job Study Clause in Contracts

Job Study. This section applies to only those BU positions over which DBM retains classification authority. Except where a study of a job has been completed within the previous eighteen months and there has been no change in job duties, an employee and/or Union representative, may submit a request to the Department of Budget and Management's Classification and Salary Administration Division (CAS) to study the position in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations. Such a request shall include a completed position description that has been signed, in a timely manner, by the employee's supervisor and Appointing Authority. The employee and/or the Union representative shall provide the employee's supervisor with a copy of the request. The employee (and Union representative, if chosen) will be provided with a copy of the Employer’s findings upon request. The Employer will apply its established classification standards and guidelines in a fair and equitable manner. Where possible, CAS shall complete the study within 60 days from the date of receipt.
