Common use of Job Assignment Clause in Contracts

Job Assignment. 11.01 (a) Whenever new jobs or vacancies within the bargaining unit occur, notices of such vacancies or new jobs shall be posted in the plant on the bulletin boards for a period of seven (7) regular working days. Any employee wishing to apply shall do so on forms to be supplied by the Company and the decision to fill such vacancy or new job shall be based on the skills, abilities and seniority.
