Common use of Instructional Unit Adjustments Clause in Contracts

Instructional Unit Adjustments. Where the complexity of the instructional materials warrant, the allocation of instructional units for any course shall be increased by 20% for any course(s) which the employee has not taught within the previous two (2) years and where no time has been specifically allocated for preparation in advance of the course start date. The amount of preparation time appropriate for any course shall be determined by mutual consent amongst the Xxxx or designate, Department Chair and departmental employees.
