Common use of Indefinite Layoff Clause in Contracts

In the event of layoff, employees with the greatest seniority will be retained while those with the least seniority will be the first to be placed in other classifications of the employee’s choice in accordance with sections (a), (b) and (c) or placed on layoff status.
