Holiday Work. If holiday work is assigned and authorized by the County Executive, such time worked by regular employees shall be paid in cash at a rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular hourly rate, including premium pay for shift differentials, plus any holiday pay to which the employee may be entitled.

Holiday Work. Holiday work if authorized shall be offered first to regular employees within the work unit. No employee may elect to work a holiday that falls on the employee's normal day off. An employee may elect in advance to receive compensatory time off credit in lieu of cash compensation for holiday work where compensatory time off under FLSA is legally allowed.
