Common use of Holiday Eligibility Clause in Contracts

Holiday Eligibility. 15.4.1 Except as otherwise provided in this Article, an employee must be in paid status on the working day immediately preceding or succeeding the holiday in order to be paid for the holiday. 15.4.2 Unit members who are not normally assigned to duty during winter or spring recesses shall be paid for holidays occurring during those periods provided that they were in a paid status during any portion of the last working day of their normal assignment preceding or succeeding those days.

Holiday Eligibility. 15.4.1 Except as otherwise provided in this Article, an employee must be in a paid status on the his/her normal working day immediately preceding or succeeding the holiday in order to be paid for the holiday. 15.4.2 Unit members 12.3.1 Employees in the bargaining unit who are not normally assigned to duty work during winter or spring recesses the Christmas recess shall be paid for any holidays occurring during those periods above provided that they were in a paid status during any portion of the last their normal working day of their normal assignment immediately preceding or succeeding those daysthe holiday period.
