Common use of Granting Leave Clause in Contracts

Granting Leave. 1. An employee shall submit written notification to the immediate supervisor stating the anticipated duration of the leave at least two weeks in advance if circumstances permit. Parental leave shall begin whenever employees request on or after the birth, adoption or ▇▇▇▇▇▇ care placement. However, it may be used prior to the date of custody or placement when required for adoption or placement to proceed. No parental leave shall be granted beyond one year from the date of birth, of assuming custody of an adopted child or of placement of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇ child. 2. In no case shall an employee be required to leave prior to parental leave unless she can no longer satisfactorily perform the duties of her position.
