Grading System. 1697 Every faculty member will develop and provide notification to his students, through the required 1698 syllabus for each course, of the grading system which the faculty member intends to utilize to assess 1699 student performance in the course. 1700 Grading Systems 1701 A. Must be consistent with the existing grading systems established by the College. 1702 B. Faculty are required to explain the course grading system to enrolled students on the first day of 1703 class. 1704 C. Faculty will present students with a syllabus and grading system by the first day of class. 1705 1. The only exception is a change in courses assigned to the faculty member with less than 1706 two weeks’ notice. 1707 D. Any modifications to this grading system which the faculty member deems warranted must be 1708 distributed to the students in writing. 1709 E. A student’s grade shall not be altered or changed without the approval of the faculty member 1710 who assigned the grade. 1711 F. If a faculty member is no longer faculty, the Administration shall be responsible for justifying any 1712 change in grades awarded by this faculty member.
