Gearboxes for Butterfly Valves. Gearboxes shall be of the self-locking type, with a continuous indicator. Traveling nut and screw type of gearboxes shall not be acceptable. Each gearbox must conform to the provisions of AWWA C504. The rated torque capability of each operator shall be sufficient to seat, unseat and rigidly hold in any intermediate position the valve disc it controls under the operating conditions specified. Operating torque must be as per requirements given in AWWA C504. The operator shall be of worm and worm wheel design, self-locking type with or without an additional spur gear arrangement to ensure that the effort on the hand wheel is limited to the pull specified. All valve operators shall be equipped with adjustable mechanical stop-limiting devices to prevent over- travel of the valve disc in the open and closed positions. Either end of the worm shaft must be provided with a needle roller bearing to take the lateral thrust. The housing for the gearing must be enclosed and sealed in such a way that there is no leakage of oil / grease even after long period of idleness and there shall be no ingress of rainwater. Operator for valves, which are likely to be submerged in water for any period of time, shall be watertight. The hand wheel may be provided with an extension for easy grip. The hand wheels must have a provision for locking with a chain and pad lock. All operators when fitted to the valve shaft shall ensure clockwise closing and this shall be indicated on the housing. A mechanical indicator is to be provided to show disc position and end of travel.

  • Required Coverages For Generation Resources Of 20 Megawatts Or Less Each Constructing Entity shall maintain the types of insurance as described in section 11.1 paragraphs (a) through (e) above in an amount sufficient to insure against all reasonably foreseeable direct liabilities given the size and nature of the generating equipment being interconnected, the interconnection itself, and the characteristics of the system to which the interconnection is made. Additional insurance may be required by the Interconnection Customer, as a function of owning and operating a Generating Facility. All insurance shall be procured from insurance companies rated “A-,” VII or better by AM Best and authorized to do business in a state or states in which the Interconnection Facilities are located. Failure to maintain required insurance shall be a Breach of the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement.

  • Loop Provisioning Involving Integrated Digital Loop Carriers 2.6.1 Where InterGlobe has requested an Unbundled Loop and BellSouth uses IDLC systems to provide the local service to the End User and BellSouth has a suitable alternate facility available, BellSouth will make such alternative facilities available to InterGlobe. If a suitable alternative facility is not available, then to the extent it is technically feasible, BellSouth will implement one of the following alternative arrangements for InterGlobe (e.g. hairpinning):

  • Shipping must be Freight On Board Destination to the delivery location designated on the Customer purchase order The Contractor will retain title and control of all goods until delivery is completed and the Customer has accepted the delivery. All risk of transportation and all related charges are the responsibility of the Contractor. The Customer will notify the Contractor and H-GAC promptly of any damaged goods and will assist the Contractor in arranging for inspection. The Contractor must file all claims for visible or concealed damage. Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, deliveries must consist only of new and unused merchandise.

  • Temperature Measurement Temperature will be measured by the nearest automatic Melbourne Bureau of Meteorology Monitoring Station for example (but not limited to): Melbourne, Moorabbin, Dunns Hill, Melbourne Airport, Frankston, and Point Xxxxxx. At the commencement of each project, the onsite management and employee representatives shall agree which is to be the applicable automatic weather monitoring station.

  • Metering The Interconnection Customer shall be responsible for the Connecting Transmission Owner’s reasonable and necessary cost for the purchase, installation, operation, maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement of metering and data acquisition equipment specified in Attachments 2 and 3 of this Agreement. The Interconnection Customer’s metering (and data acquisition, as required) equipment shall conform to applicable industry rules and Operating Requirements.
