Common use of First Meal Period Clause in Contracts

First Meal Period. To all tours of duty a first meal period of sixty (60) minutes shall be scheduled beginning not earlier than the start of the third (3rd) hour of the tour and ending not later than the end of the fifth (5th) hour of such tour. By mutual agreement, the meal period may be less than one (1) hour, provided that overtime rates shall be paid for the period of time not taken, or the tour of duty may be reduced by the period of time not taken.
