Common use of Family Illness or Accident Clause in Contracts

Family Illness or Accident. When an Employee is the only member of his/her family available to care for the needs of his/her immediate family due to illness or accident, an Employee may request to use up to five (5) days per school year to care for the member of the family who is ill. For purposes of this Article, immediate family will be partner, child or parent. (See also Central Letter #2 for Short Term Paid Leaves)
