Faculty Appointments. 5.4.1 On successful completion of the probationary period (unless 6.4 applies), a faculty employee shall be offered a faculty appointment. A faculty appointment means that the appointment shall be continued unless there are exceptional circumstances as specified in 8.4.1 or 6.4. 5.4.2 If a faculty appointee wishes to retire, he/she shall give four (4) months notice in writing to the President.
