Non-Regular Appointments. Non-Regular Teaching Appointments Non-Regular Faculty Members shall be hired on a per-course basis with commensurate teaching duties. In the annual hiring cycle, contracts shall be issued for both fall and spring to the degree possible. Procedures for hiring non- regular faculty are outlined in Appendix IV. Non-Regular Teaching Faculty: • shall hold the position of Lecturer, Sessional Instructor, Adjunct Instructor, Substitute, or Artist/Designer/Scholar in Residence; • shall have no job security beyond the current contract, except as provided for in Article 9.03. • shall be available as part of their regular teaching responsibilities for student consultations one (1) hour per three-credit course per week to a maximum of three (3) hours a week, at a time convenient to students as determined by the Faculty Member, and shall post the consultation time(s). • Non-regular appointments are offered in the credit program on a semester by semester basis with a teaching load from three up to a maximum of fifteen credits per semester for studio appointments or from three up to a maximum of twelve credits per semester for academic appointments.

Non-Regular Appointments. ‌ Non-regular employees, who are on the seniority list, may request vacation leave by application to their supervisor. Employees on non-regular appointments of more than six months' duration may request at the start of their appointment to earn vacation entitlement. Such entitlement not taken during the appointment period shall be paid out in cash at the end of the appointment period. Employees on non-regular appointments shall receive vacation pay at 6% for the first 3,430 accumulated hours, 8% for the next 6,720 accumulated hours and 10% for all hours accumulated over 10,150 hours subject to Clause 26.2(e). Vacation pay shall be paid biweekly. Notwithstanding Clause 26.2(e), offers of employment for which employees are qualified, and which would have required the employees to work during a vacation leave, shall not be deemed a refusal of employment.
Non-Regular Appointments. 11.4.5.1 A non-regular appointment shall be specified to be such at the time of offer. All non- regular employees shall have a probationary period as set out in 11.4.1.

  • SUSPENSION OF SUPPLIER'S APPOINTMENT 27.1 Without prejudice to the Authority's rights to terminate this Framework Agreement as set out in Clause 26 (Termination), or if the Authority reasonably believes that a Consistent Failure has occurred, the Authority may suspend the Supplier's appointment to provide Services to Contracting Bodies under this Framework Agreement by giving notice in writing to the Supplier which notice shall take immediate effect from the date specified in such notice and the Supplier agrees that it shall not be entitled to enter into any new Order during such suspension period.

  • Vacancies; Appointment of Trustees Whenever a vacancy shall exist in the Board of Trustees, regardless of the reason for such vacancy, the remaining Trustees shall appoint any person as they determine in their sole discretion to fill that vacancy, consistent with the limitations under the 1940 Act.
