Common use of Extra Duty Work Clause in Contracts

Extra Duty Work. Section 1. Off-duty employees hired for public safety services at public events shall be paid at their regular base hourly rate of pay for all hours worked. All hours worked in this capacity shall be considered hours actually worked for purposes of computing overtime in that work period. Section 2. All extra duty work shall be by SFFR rules and regulations. Section 3. Employees working extra duty shall be under the direction of SFFR management. Section 4. The City retains the right to require an employee to work extra duty after making a reasonable effort to obtain a qualified volunteer.
