Existing Wells definition

Existing Wells has the meaning set forth in Sexxxxx 7.1J of this Agreement.

Existing Wells means (a) the Designated Wells, to the extent such Designated Wells are drilled and completed in a geological formation or horizon at or above the base of the Devonian Shale, (b) the Designated Wells, to the extent such Designated Wells are redrilled or deepened to, and/or recompleted in, a geological formation or horizon at or above the base of the Devonian Shale, and (c) any well in which Assignor owns an interest that is located on the Subject Lands within 1,000 feet of the wellbore of a Designated Well and for which initial drilling operations are commenced on or after the Effective Date, to the extent such well is drilled and completed in a geological formation or horizon at or above the base of the Devonian Shale; provided, however, that "Existing Wells" shall not include any Excluded Well.

Related to Existing Wells

  • Subject Lands means the lands subject to or covered by the oil and gas leases described in Exhibit A, insofar and only insofar as they are located within the AMI Area and cover the Target Formation, subject to the exceptions, exclusions and reservations set forth on such Exhibit A.

  • Horizontal well means a well bore drilled laterally at an angle of at least eighty (80) degrees to the vertical or with a horizontal projection exceeding one hundred (100) feet measured from the initial point of penetration into the productive formation through the terminus of the lateral in the same common source of supply.

  • Exploration Well means a well that is not a development well, a service well or a stratigraphic test well.

  • Oil well means any well capable of producing oil or oil and casinghead gas from a common source of supply as determined by the commission.

  • Monitoring well means a water well intended for the purpose of determining groundwater quality or quantity.
