Common use of Evaluation Timeline Clause in Contracts

Evaluation Timeline. District administrators shall conduct an evaluation of each teacher subject to this policy at least annually. Each evaluation shall include: 1) Two (2) formal observations of at least thirty (30) minutes each; and 2) at minimum of two (2) periodic classroom walkthroughs by the evaluator. All teacher evaluations shall be completed by the first day of May and each teacher subject to this policy shall be provided with a written copy of the evaluation results by the tenth day of May. For limited/extended limited contract teachers who are under consideration for renewal/nonrenewal, in addition to periodic classroom walkthroughs, one evaluation consisting of at least three formal observations must be conducted annually by the first day of May. If the teacher is recommended for nonrenewal, written notice will be provided in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the CEA and the Board. Teachers governed by this provision will be provided a written report of the results of his/her evaluation by the tenth day of May. A teacher who has been granted a continuing contract by the Board of Education and who receives a rating of “Accomplished” on his/her most recent evaluation shall be evaluated every three years, so long as the teacher’s student academic growth measure, for the most recent school year for which data is available, is average or higher. Evaluations will be completed by the first day of May, and the teacher shall be provided with a written copy of the evaluation results by the tenth day of May. Teachers governed by this provision will receive at least one observation and one conference in any year the teacher is not formally evaluated. Accomplished teachers must select one of the following two options:
