The Equipment Labelling clause requires that all equipment provided or used under the agreement must be clearly marked or labeled for identification purposes. Equipment Labelling.  Labelling of all equipment and documentation supplied is part of the works and is the responsibility of the Contractor.  The relevant AKZ code shall be included on the label according to the required format, together with plant description.  Labels (dimensions and colour) are to be consistent and comply with the standard Eskom specification (document no. 0.61/54385 sheets 1 to 50).  Cabling should have labels made of aluminium and the lettering and numbers should be black and engraved. The cable labels must be installed on both ends of the cable.  Instrument labels should be made of Graphlex. All text on labelling must be engraved. The labels should be white in colour with black text.  The Contractor shall provide labelling in accordance with the “Red Zone” philosophy of Tutuka power station.  The equipment and location shall be labelled by the Contractor with the required information.

  • Equipment Location The Company recognizes that it is important when designing, constructing, and maintaining physical plant components, to have regard for the specific placement of equipment, with a view to the elimination of hazardous work situations.
