EMT Paramedic. E. Employees who lose any certification listed in a, b, c and d above shall be placed on unpaid leave immediately. The employee shall have twenty-one (21) calendar days to obtain a new certification and provide proof to the city. Any employee who fails to provide proof after this period may be discharged at the discretion of the Chief. This dismissal may only be appealed to Civil Service and IS NOT subject to appeal through arbitration.
